Been coming here for a few years now and have always had a good experience. They have a good selection of sushi rolls and other menu items. Always receive good service. Will continue to visit this place and try more menu items.
Overview
When you step into Ohana Sushi, located at 195 Alessandro Blvd STE 8A, Riverside, CA 92508, United States, the first thing you notice is the warm, inviting vibe that makes it more than just a place to eat. From my first visit, the atmosphere struck me as casual yet polished, with clean wooden tables and soft ambient lighting creating a perfect balance between comfort and style. The staff greets you with genuine smiles, instantly making you feel at home.
The menu at Ohana Sushi is impressively diverse, offering everything from classic rolls to inventive chef specials. I remember trying the spicy tuna roll paired with a California roll, and the freshness of the fish was remarkable. Each bite was a testament to their commitment to quality, with flavors that are bold but never overpowering. The restaurant also offers cooked options like teriyaki chicken and tempura vegetables, ensuring that even those hesitant about raw sushi have plenty to enjoy. The chefs clearly have years of experience, applying meticulous techniques that elevate even the simplest dishes.
One feature that sets Ohana Sushi apart is the attention to detail in presentation. The sushi rolls are artfully arranged, garnished with subtle touches that make each plate feel special. During a recent visit, I noticed the chef preparing a rainbow roll at the counter; watching the careful layering of fresh fish and avocado was fascinating. First time coming here and Iβm not sure if they were short staffed but we didnβt get seen or even glanced at for almost 10 mins. We sat down and waited 20 mins to even see our waiter. After that though we ordered and got our food asap. The rolls are huge and soooo fresh!! Best sushi I had in a while. Definitely coming back. Hopefully we donβt have to wait as long. Also it was SOOOO COLD BRING A SWEATER!
I completely love this place, not only is the food great. I was greeted and attended by Kim, she did an amazing job and had a great conversation with her. She is very knowledgeable and extremely sweet. She was very welcoming and made my party and I feel very welcoming. I definitely recommend coming and trying this place.
This restaurant is clean fast efficient friendly and the food is delicious. Our sushi rolls today were larger than average and packed with fresh fish then topped with amazing sauces and ingredients. My sister and I had a great time at lunch. The only thing I would suggest to the owners for the future is that you make your guests aware that there is a Gratuity added to the bill automatically... I'm sure that gets by your patrons and it also sets a ceiling where we felt our server and the kitchen deserved more for that experience that they delivered. When you cap the gratuity Automatically, we are happy to pay our bill and leave since it wasn't up to us to tip on the service and experience in the first place. It definitely Left a sour taste in our mouths and we both in and have been in the industry as consultants and understand all takes on the situation. We felt like it was unfair to all parties. Thank you for having us.
Went with a party of 4 and waited to be attended for quite some time. It is an awkward feeling just to stand around waiting to be seated. In addition, it took two of us to get the waiters attention jist to ask for sauce. The food portions were great and do offer other items if you are looking for something else than sushi. I will say that it is pricey so go with the mentality of sharing sushi plates.
Really great rolls! I didn't care too much for the aftertaste of the seaweed salad but I would definitely come again and again for their rolls!
